Artists of Beirut, a platform dedicated to promoting Lebanese female artists, is participating for the third consecutive year at the 7th edition of the Menart Fair. The event will take place in Paris at Galerie Joseph (11 rue de Turenne, 75003) from October 23 to 25, 2026.
For this edition centered around the theme of belonging, Artists of Beirut is showcasing works by seven female artists employing diverse artistic techniques.
Artist Christine Ozeir presents a series of paintings on canvas and paper. Through her abstract work, Ozeir explores the meaning of “home” for a generation of Lebanese people steeped in nostalgia, living with grief, displaced within their own country, or stranded abroad. For Ozeir, home lies within the self. Our history, convictions, and sense of identity form an internal compass, a home to which we can return time and again. Born of personal and collective experiences of hope and struggle, her art becomes a visual representation of this inner landscape. Her process, deliberately slow and meticulous, allows her to spend weeks, or even months, on a single piece.
Artist Tamara Khodr presents the diptych ‘Where We Remain’. She explores the instinct to withdraw into oneself during wartime, when the house can no longer serve as a physical refuge. Curled-up bodies transform into architectures of protection and shelter. Home shifts from a fixed location to an internal space, where the deep generational trauma of war is reconstructed through memory, belonging, and resilience. ‘Where We Remain’ questions what it means to inhabit a place when its physical architecture can no longer promise permanence. The country and the home become interior, a place we continue to build within ourselves, even amidst uncertainty.
Artist Alia Corm’s series of paintings conveys emotion and identity through intuitive gesture. Self-taught, she carries on the legacy of her grandfather, Georges Daoud Corm, while developing her own visual language, one imbued with reflection and a sense of connection to others. Her practice took root after she relocated from Paris to Larnaca; through her painting, she navigates the experience of exile and explores the healing process found in communion with nature.
Multidisciplinary artist Samira Morcos presents ‘Fallen’, a textile work that gathers discarded fabric fragments, giving each a new life within a larger whole. Created for ‘Where Is Home?’, the piece examines the concept of "home" as an internal reality, one composed of memories, traces, and fragments collected along life's journey.
Multidisciplinary artist and ceramicist Marcelle Asmar presents a series of ceramic bas-reliefs and centerpieces at the fair in Paris. Through her work, Asmar celebrates the beauty of her Mediterranean shores: the nature, light, warmth, and freedom found there. Even amidst war and uncertainty, she ensures her creations remain true to what is beautiful, joyful, and alive.
Photographer Anna Bondavalli Ward presents the series ‘Inner Territories’. In this collection, silhouettes emerge from a field of white light where the void transforms into breath, silence, and freedom. As the light gives way to darkness, it reveals the body, tracing organic patterns upon the skin that evoke shadows, thoughts, and inner emotions. Living across diverse cultures, languages, and geographies, Anna Bondavalli Ward poses a question that is both intimate and universal: what if "home" were not a place, but an inner state of being?
Artist Magda Malkoun presents ‘The Place Within’, a series of mixed-media works. Influenced by German Expressionism, Khalil Gibran, and Gustav Klimt, her approach is both intuitive and contemplative. Blending photomontage and painting, she draws upon fragments of her own photographs, capturing places, nature, and lived experiences, to construct female figures that serve as inner landscapes, where memory and identity are constantly reassembled. Her series shifts the concept of "home" from a geographical location to an internal state: "Perhaps coming home is not about finding one's place in the world, but about learning to inhabit oneself," she says.
Menart Fair is not to be missed in Paris at Galerie Joseph (11 rue de Turenne, 75003 Paris), running from October 23 to 25, 2026, between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
