Foodics, the leading restaurant management and fintech solutions provider in the MENA region, has concluded the third edition of its annual summer internship program, “Foodics Folks”, reinforcing its commitment to empowering young talent and supporting the future of Egypt’s food and beverage industry.
Designed for university students aged 18 to 21, the month-long program offered participants a unique opportunity to gain practical experience through a hybrid learning journey that combined exposure to Foodics’ corporate environment with hands-on restaurant operations. Building on the success of its previous editions, Foodics Folks continued to create meaningful pathways for students to explore careers within the F&B sector.
The program began with two weeks of hands-on experience at Foodics’ Egypt office, where interns were placed across various departments, including People Operations (HR), Sales Coordination, Marketing, Accounting, Customer Onboarding, Software Engineering, Customer Success, Performance Marketing, and AI & Data Science. Through this experience, students gained first-hand exposure to how different business functions support restaurant growth and digital transformation.
The second phase of the program took place across a diverse group of Foodics-powered restaurant partners, where participants spent two weeks immersed in real restaurant environments. This year’s edition brought together a distinguished lineup of brands including Abou Shakra, Vasko, Maine, Canelé Patisserie, Takosan, Karak Boy, Hird’s, Süss, and Sno. Through this experience, interns gained a deeper understanding of restaurant operations, customer service, workflow management, and the role technology plays in driving efficiency and business success across the F&B sector.
Beyond technical and operational knowledge, the program also focused on developing essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and customer-centric thinking, helping students build a strong foundation for their future careers.
