Rebirth Beirut proudly presents imaGINAndo, a solo exhibition by self-taught artist Gina Succar, opening on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at its cultural space in Gemmayzeh. The exhibition will run until June 13, 2026, welcoming visitors daily from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, except Sundays.
Through imaGINAndo, Gina Succar invites visitors into a vibrant world where imagination and reality intertwine. Inspired by The Walt Disney Company, Pharaonic art, the Italian Renaissance, Art Nouveau, Pop Art, Japanese art and Orientalist paintings, Succar’s work reflects a rich artistic journey shaped by multiple cultures and decades of creativity.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1950, Gina spent her childhood between Brazil and Argentina before moving to France and eventually settling in Lebanon, the country of her parents. Since the 1970s, she has participated in numerous solo and collective exhibitions across Argentina, Brazil, France, and Lebanon, while also becoming known for her interior and exterior mural creations and trompe-l’œil paintings that transformed walls into imagined gardens, balconies and dreamlike perspectives.
For Gina Succar, art is “a volcano of images and colors,” where drawing and painting become a dance between dreams and reality. The exhibition celebrates fantasy, offering viewers an immersive and deeply personal artistic experience.
Commenting on the exhibition, Gaby Fernaine, Founder & President of Rebirth Beirut, said:
“Gina Succar’s work is filled with imagination, passion and life. Through imaGINAndo, she reminds us of the beauty of dreaming and the power of art to transform spaces and emotions. At Rebirth Beirut, we are proud to support artists whose creativity contributes to Beirut’s cultural and artistic revival.”
Part of the proceeds from the exhibition will support the ongoing initiatives of Rebirth Beirut, particularly its infrastructure projects aimed at contributing to the revival of Beirut and its communities.
