LG Electronics organized an environmental education workshop for children at Green Gold Farm in Baghdad, bringing hands-on agricultural learning to young participants. The initiative, part of LG’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, welcomed dozens of children for an interactive session focused on sustainable farming practices and environmental awareness.
The comprehensive three-hour workshop provided children with immersive exposure to agricultural processes and environmental stewardship through carefully designed educational activities. The day began with an opening session where children were welcomed and introduced to the workshop’s environmental objectives, setting the stage for an engaging learning experience.
The program featured a screening of an educational environmental documentary that highlighted the importance of plants and environmental awareness, capturing the children’s attention with age-appropriate content about nature conservation. Following the film, participants were divided into specialized learning groups for hands-on agricultural activities. The first group engaged in practical farming work under the guidance of specialized trainers, learning fundamental agricultural techniques through direct participation. Meanwhile, the second group focused on seed planting activities in the farm’s fields, where children got their hands dirty planting real seeds while learning about plant growth cycles and sustainable farming practices.
A key highlight of the workshop was the educational demonstration of agricultural product processing, where children observed how farm products are transformed using specialized educational machinery. This segment provided valuable insights into the journey from farm to table, helping children understand the complete agricultural process and the importance of each step in food production.
The educational component was enhanced by interactive entertainment activities that combined learning with fun, where children participated in educational games designed to reinforce the day’s environmental lessons. Winners received prizes that served as memorable tokens of their learning experience. The workshop concluded with a warm community dinner that brought together all participants, fostering a sense of shared experience and community connection while allowing children to reflect on their day of discovery.
