The session took place on Monday, September 29, at LAU’s Beirut campus, with the participation of a diverse group of students from various fields of study.
The discussion was moderated by Ms. Thuraya Ismail, CEO of Mentor Arabia, in an interactive and inspiring style. She highlighted key milestones from Qays’s ten-year journey with Mentor Arabia and delved into his professional and personal experiences, aiming to inspire youth and encourage them to turn their ambitions into real career paths.
Reflecting on his beginnings in the world of acting, Qays emphasized the importance of never abandoning one’s dreams under the pressure of circumstances or others’ opinions. He urged students to persevere and remain determined despite challenges, affirming that success can only be achieved through patience and hard work. He also shared valuable technical advice with theater and arts students, who made up a core part of the audience, spotlighting professional practices that could help shape their creative journeys.
At the conclusion of the session, Ms. Thuraya Ismail expressed her pride in the strategic partnership with LAU and gratitude for the warm welcome from the students, affirming that this positive energy is the driving force behind the foundation’s humanitarian mission. From her side, Professor Lina Khoury, representing LAU, stressed that such engagements reflect the university’s vision of the vital role of professional and personal mentorship in the journey of its students.
Mentor Arabia also presented a commemorative shield to Mr. Qays Sheikh Najeeb in recognition of his valuable contributions throughout his ten-year journey in empowering children and youth.
