Beirut, 06th of March 2023: On the occasion of World Hearing Day, the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital and the LAU Gilbert and Rose- Marie Chagoury School of Medicine organized an event at the LAU Beirut campus.
The event offered LAU students, faculty, staff, alumni and media representatives the chance to receive a complete ear checkup. The campaign’s objective was to create awareness on the importance of testing and preserving everyone’s hearing that is unique and irreplaceable.
Led by the LAU Medical Center- Rizk Hospital ENT and Family medicine departments, and in the presence of Dr. Rami Saade chair of ENT department and Dr. Rana Barake, attendees received an ear check-up, hearing screening, as well as tips and advice on how to take good care of their hearing and avoid hearing loss.
This event was sponsored by Sound & Vision SARL who offered their support on the World Hearing day event to raise awareness and battle the stigma of hearing loss in Lebanon.
All audiological equipment (audiometer, as well as all the transducers required) has been provided by Sound & Vision SARL to facilitate the testing.
More than 300 people have attended the event.
