Please find below the UN Secretary-General’s message on the International Youth Day, observed on 12 August every year, to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrate the potential of youth as partners in today’s global society.
The Secretary-General’s message for 2018 was issued jointly with his Envoy on Youth, Jayathma Wickramanayake, calling for protecting youth, especially women and girls, and investing in their potential.
