Marianne Achkar is a polar guide. She will share her passion for great adventures during an exceptional conference at the French Institute of Lebanon, which could inspire vocations among the young Lebanese generation!
She responded to the call of adventure and unusual when she was proposed to embark on polar boats or icebreakers, as a polar guide or cruise director, to assist the most seasoned expedition leaders. She thus becomes the first Lebanese woman to practice this atypical profession and to regularly visit these latitudes for missions from 10 days to a month. In her speech, she will present a film depicting a polar expedition cruise around Spitzbergen and talk about her unpublished polar guide experience.
