The Lebanese telecom powerhouse secures a strong standing on the global scene
Beirut, 18 April 2024 – Monty Mobile, the global telecommunications pioneer, was selected for the second time by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) to host the 19th Wholesale Agreements and Solutions Group (WAS19) event in Istanbul, Turkey, from April 16-18, 2024. Held at the prestigious Istanbul Congress Center (ICC), the 3-day event brought together more than 1,500 attendees, including top executives, industry experts, and key decision-makers of key mobile operators and hubs from the world over, the likes of Vodafone, Etisalat, STC, Zain, Orange, and t-Mobile, to name a few.
WAS, the biggest international semi-annual telecom event, serves as a key platform for Operator-to-Operator and Operator-to-Hub interoperability. It ensures consistent and reliable GSM services for over 1,000 members at GSMA, a lobby organization that represents the interests of mobile network operators worldwide.
Recognized as a fast-growing force in the telecommunications sector, Monty Mobile hosted this major event for the second time, following the success of WAS6 in Marrakech in September 2017. With more than 25 years of experience in the industry, Monty Mobile has been entrusted by GSMA to hold this pivotal event, solidifying its position as a key player in shaping the future of telecommunications worldwide.
