Spinneys Lebanon has succeeded in earning one of the highest forms of food-safety certification for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standard, awarded by Bureau Veritas, France, reaffirming once again the brand’s belief that food safety is not an option, but a requirement to keep customers happy and safe.
The HACCP accreditation confirms that Spinneys is meeting international standards of quality, hygiene and food-safety: from the handling of raw materials in the kitchen, to the preparation and production, to the finished product on customers’ tables.
“At Spinneys, we are continuously working on attaining the best and highest standards for all our outlets. Our teams concentrate on compliance and maintain the best practices in food safety. This is our way of giving back for our customers’ trust and loyalty,” says Ralph Kahi, Chief Marketing Officer at Gray Mackenzie Retail, Lebanon.
HACCP is a hazard assessment and control systems tool that focuses on preventive measures rather than relying on corrective action based on final product testing. The method can be used to identify and manage risks associated with physical, chemical, and biological hazards. It has achieved both national and international recognition as the most cost-effective means of controlling foodborne diseases, with the HACCP principles.
Staying committed to providing the best and safest food products reflect Spinneys’ continuous efforts to maintain operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
