e-EcoSolutions, the leader of the Global Coalition for Green Schools – Lebanon Chapter, and the implementer of the Green Schools Certification Program in Lebanon organized today an interactive “Review” meeting at the Monroe Hotel in Beirut with the Catholic School Federations Representatives, the program main partners Grohe and Bankmed, and the program supporters.
The Green Schools Certification Program is a program offered by e-EcoSolutions under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and with the support of the Ministry of Environment in Lebanon, and has the mission of “Putting every student in Lebanon in a Green school within this generation”. This program is being offered free of charge to the first 100 public and private schools participating from Lebanon and includes the schools assessments, environmental audits and sustainability recommendations by the team of e-EcoSolutions.
The meeting, which is done for the second time with the Catholic school federations’ representatives in Lebanon, served as a review of the program news, offering a helping hand for the schools representatives to involve their groups of schools within this program. The meeting provided an interactive platform between these representatives and the program’s partners and supporters who are helping the schools through their different services to implement better environmental solutions and achieve higher Green Schools Certification levels. It also featured an open discussion tackling the best strategies to involve the highest possible number of schools within this program.
“We invite the schools in Lebanon to come and enjoy the free benefits of this important program” said Mr. Gilbert Tegho, CEO of e-EcoSolutions “The application will be open until Press Release | Beirut, Tuesday October 20, 2015
November 30, 2015, and we are planning the complete the school audits and distribute the schools certifications during the 7th Build It Green – Lebanon Annual Sustainability Solutions Conference taking place in March 2016, noting that until the date, we have 33 registered schools. There is no better time for the schools to seriously engage and expand their environmental actions to face the current waste crisis, and our team is ready to support this engagement throughout the program’s process”.
The schools are invited to register in the program online on: www.GreenSchools.me. Once they do, they will automatically receive a self-assessment form that they need to complete and submit. e-EcoSolutions’ team will consequently contact the school to set up a date for the school’s audit and will guide them on how to become a Green School by addressing the environmental categories of Recycling, Green Spaces, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Health & Safety and Sustainability Education & Innovation.
The list of the program partners and supporters names is also available on the website along with the services offered by each organization to support the schools in going Green.
