Antwork, the hub for the independent workforce, has just celebrated its first edition of Antworking day yesterday on October 26, 2017, at its campus on Spears, May Ziadeh street, Beirut.
Antworking Day aimed at creating opportunities for our members; it gathered an exclusive network of investors, coaches and mentors who got introduced to our exhibitors and their success stories. “It is these points of connections that open doors for productive collaborations and future endeavors for startups, introducing news jobs and new blood to the local Lebanese market,” added Zina Dajani, founder and CEO of Antwork.
“Antworking day is a reflection of what antwork stands for, online and offline. It is a manifestation of what we built through hard work and collaboration with one another,” Dajani told the press. “The people we connect, the space we provide and the services we offer, and the opportunities we bring forth, are the key elements that make up our most valuable asset; our community.”
More than 25 startups, companies and freelancers gathered to exhibit a wide range of products and services, from ecommerce to robotics to branding and hardware solutions. This was followed by a series of talks from a selection from the coaches and members themselves .
Byblos Bank was the main sponsor of the event, as part of The Makers platform. The Makers account is a 0 fees account specially designed for the needs and aspirations of youth aged between 18 and 24 who are in the process of making who they are and changing their country for the better. A philosophy that Antwork endorses.
Antwork manifested itself as a force to be reckoned with in the rising trend of coworking. “Our definition of coworking goes beyond the space. Coworking is a culture. It is a mindset and it is where the world is going with the rise of the independent workforce, locally and globally. ” Dajani reminded her audience.
