Golfers competed on Ahlam’s golf practice range in eight categories, beginning with the junior boys, who teed off at 11am. Participants enjoyed lunch at the event, as well as liquid refreshment provided by Rim water and Najjar Raqwa by Café Najjar. Even though fog put a slight dampener on proceedings, play continued unabated. Novel entertainment was provided with the introduction of footgolf, a sport that combines football and golf and which enjoys strong popularity in the UK. Footballs were handed out at Ahlam so that everyone could have a chance to try out the game.
In attendance at the short golf game event were PGA Fellow Professional Mr. Mark Taylor, representing the PGAs of Europe, Mr. Christophe Kallasi, the Chairman of Ahlam Golf & Mountain Village, Mr. Karim Salaam, representing the Lebanese Golf Federation, Mr. Omar Shantouf, on the behalf of FFA Real Estate, and Mr. Walid Beainou, representing Kfardebian municipality that also contributed in the event.
During the awards ceremony, which took place at the end of the day, Mr. Walid Beainou, Mr. Christophe Kallasi, Mr. Karim Salam, Mr. Mark Taylor and Dr Tarek Charaf distributed the trophies and the medals to the winners, and Mr. Karim Salaam gave a speech in which he thanked Ahlam for hosting the event.The winners of each category were:
