Beirut, Lebanon – October 2018: As part of their continuous support to the Children Cancer Center Lebanon (CCCL), Spinneys was able to collect 322 million L.L. – the amount needed for the treatment of four children with cancer – through a one-month donation campaign that was running from July 25th till August 26th in all its branches across Lebanon. Customers were given the chance to donate $1 or more to CCCL when checking out and paying for their groceries. In return, they would automatically receive 5 Spinneys loyalty points for each dollar donated. This campaign marks a huge achievement for Spinneys, while celebrating its 70th anniversary.
In addition to customer donations, social media influencers supported the cause and shared the donation campaign with their followers to raise awareness and encourage them to participate.
Spinneys team visited CCCL on October 11th, where they offered to the centre the amount gathered, and went on to entertain the children with fun activities. The social media influencers who were part of the campaign joined the visit and spent memorable moments with CCCL kids.
This donation campaign is part of the continuous support that Spinneys started offering CCCL 8 years ago, and the team is beyond happy to have been able to collect such a large amount for them now, especially while the brand is celebrating its 70th anniversary, making this donation even more special.
