The Humanitarian development aid office of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Beirut in collaboration with Ajialouna offer 15,000 Iftar meals to underprivileged individuals in Tripoli.
Beirut, 8th of May 2020: True to its motto “we live to Give” and to its mission of supporting the needy and improving their quality of life, Ajialouna, the non-profit organization engaged in charitable, cultural, social, healthcare, educational programs and with the generous support and collaboration of the Humanitarian development aid office of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Beirut offered cooked Iftar meal to 15,000 underprivileged individuals in Tripoli.
Those cooked meals were thoughtfully prepared in 2 kitchens located in Tripoli by local women. Through the employment of these women, who are often mothers, Ajialouna is empowering them and their households by offering them the opportunity to be active and productive members of the society.
Food safety being of utmost priority, the meals were provided following internationally recognized health standards with regards to the preparation, packaging and delivery of food.
This wonderful and human initiative took place thanks to the Humanitarian development aid office of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Beirut, as it was part of their Iftar Sa’em campaign, and its objective, which extends beyond helping and supporting hungry and needy people during the holy month of Ramadan, is to give them back hope and restore their faith in humanity.
