BEIRUT – August 26, 2020 – Sanofi denied today the news that was circulated by certain Lebanese media outlets under the title: “The scandal of smuggling COVID-19 medication to Syria”. The company affirmed that the information and details shared in the article are incorrect and misleading.
Sanofi wishes for the media to be more thorough and precise in the transfer of information, as the rolling news indicated inaccurate information related to the quantity of medicines donated by the company to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health and regarding the availability of the product.
Sanofi calls on all media outlets to contact its media office for any inquiry related to the company’s news and activities in Lebanon.
