NATIONAL AMBULANCE AND YAS MARINA CIRCUIT COME TOGETHER TO SUPPORT UAE’S EFFORTS TO TACKLE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management will make available contracted circuit ambulances and staff to National Ambulance

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE March 30, 2020: Today, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) and National Ambulance have agreed that the ambulance and clinical staff deployed at Yas Marina Circuit will be released to assist communities in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The two organisations have agreed for the ambulances and specialised clinical staff currently deployed by National Ambulance at Yas Marina Circuit for events, including the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, to be made available to assist National Ambulance’s operations in the Northern Emirates with emergency response for Covid-19 during the period in which YAS Marina Circuit is closed.

The decision, which has been made to strengthen ambulance resources at a particularly challenging time, is testament to the strength of the relationship between ADMM and National Ambulance, and the huge level of trust which has been built up over the course of a six-year partnership.

Al Tareq Al Ameri, CEO of ADMM said, “Ultimately, the priority for us all at this testing time is to ensure our local communities are fully supported in every possible way, and this initiative is an excellent example of cooperation which will benefit everybody.

“The medical services, who are doing a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances, require all the support they can get, and we hope the decision to release ambulances and staff in support of National Ambulance’s operations in the Northern Emirates will assist in their incredible efforts.”

National Ambulance provides emergency medical coverage at all Yas Marina Circuit events throughout the year as part of its commitment to deliver high international standards of care and promote sport as a lifestyle that improves health and wellness.
