Beirut, 7th of July: The LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital and the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine have partnered with the Baalbeck International Festival to provide medical assistance and healthcare prevention to the festival’s team and artists that were rehearsing and attending “The Sound of Resilience” festival that took place on Sunday July 5. The Baalbeck International Festival initiative came in an effort of spreading hope and joy during the difficult time the country is passing through and to keep up the momentum of spreading culture despite recent events in the country.
The concert, which followed strict COVID-19 guidelines, was held without an audience and was broadcasted live on all local TV channels and Arab and international mediums for people to enjoy in the safety of their homes. It was also live-streamed on the festival’s social media and several other digital platforms.
The LAU Mobile Clinic and its appointed medical team was mobilized during the rehearsals and festival in order to reinforce the necessary healthcare measures and prevention procedures to the participating artists, musicians and staff.
The LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital’s team consisted of nurses who were fully committed to ensuring the safety and protection of everyone attending the festival.
All members of the LAU medical team were true to the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital’s mission of “healing with compassion” and tended to participants with kindness, love and care.
