Contemporary Lebanese artist Karim Sassine inaugurated the exhibition of his artworks in the Lebanese pavilion at the “Expo Dubai 2020”, organized by the “Lebanese Signature”, which seeks to support Lebanese talent, in the presence of a crowd of social and media personalities who celebrated in the outside Lebanese restaurant of the pavilion.
The exhibition included several artworks made from old waste that the artist re-manufactured into a beautiful masterpiece ready for display. This creative art has become universally regarded as one of the masterpieces and has adorned palaces, hotels,…. Karim is always required to do special work on demand.
Karim says, “This art is a beautiful masterpiece that attracts and fascinates you, and it is made of waste.” And he concluded: “The difficulty is to turn art from piles of rubbish into works of art is a challenge”
It is noteworthy that Karim Sassin is rooted in an artistic family, and he began providing artworks made of waste through a hobby that he liked to his private home, and then it became a profession that he publishes wherever he is. Most of his business is auto parts, but he is working on other projects now.
As for the “Lebanese Signature” co-founded by Mila Medawar and Joyce Mouawad, it is a limited liability company and a platform created to empower creative Lebanese and recognize their talents around the world and help them create new jobs. It also aims to support the Lebanese economy by marketing Lebanese goods of all kinds.
