Under the patronage of H.E Minister of Economy & Trade, Dr. Alain Hakim, “Project Lebanon 2015”, the 20th International Trade Exhibition for Construction Materials & Equipment for Lebanon & the Middle East, opened its doors on Tuesday afternoon at Biel, in the presence of the ambassadors of the participating countries and a number of officials, diplomats and dignitaries.
Clearly indicating the rising interest paid by international companies and businessmen to Project Lebanon as an effective tool to strengthen their presence in the Lebanese and regional markets, more than 400 exhibitors participate in this year’s edition; including 150 international companies representing 24 countries including Italy, France, Belgium, Turkey, Egypt, Romania, Cyprus, Iran, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Malaysia, Slovakia, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Chania, India, Kuwait, Lebanon and Brazil.
This broad international presence is supported by several international trade bodies , such as the French Agency for the Development of Foreign Trade (Business France), Italian Trade Commission (ICE), the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism of the Republic of
addition to the presence of almost all local companies operating in the field of construction materials, equipment and services.
EcOrient 2015
EcOrient, The 4th International Conference for Environmental Technologies, Sustainability & Clean Energy, which will be held in partnership with the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), will be inaugurated by H.E the Minister of Environment, Mohammad Machnouk on Wednesday June 3.
The conference is supported by a number of prominent local and regional institutions, led by the Ministry of Environment, Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture of Beirut & Mount Lebanon, the Order of Engineers and Architects of Beirut, the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), the Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), the Lebanon Green Building Council (LGBC), the Lebanese ASHRAE Chapter and the Arab Sustainability Association.
On June 3, several working sessions will be held with the participation of more than 20 speakers from experts representing major environmental organizations, and leading institutions in the field of clean and alternative energy, to representatives of scientific institutes and research institutions of environmental studies.
