LebaneseSignature.com, co-founded by Mila Medawar and Joyce Mouawad, has managed to gather the best Lebanese wineries and other renowned alcoholic beverages factories in the Wine Bar of the Lebanese Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, a global event hosted by the United Arab Emirates that will open its doors on the 1st of October 2021, for 6 months. The aim is to market and export Lebanese products in order to contribute to the economic wheel of the country, nothing that Lebanese wine is famous for its quality and constitutes a gold mine for Lebanon.
It is noteworthy that LebaneseSignature.com is participating in this Global event in cooperation with “Once Entertainment” that was appointed by the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Lebanese Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
Moreover, Fair Trade Lebanon has supported this initiative is very valuable, under the BIEEL project (Business Innovation and Enhance Exports for Lebanon), initiated by the US MEPI (US-Middle East Partnership Initiative). The BIEEL project aims at supporting Lebanese SMEs to export their products and increase their visibility and competitiveness on the international scene.
The co-founder Joyce Mouawad stated that: “Lebanon’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, represents a flame of hope and an economic breathing space in the context of the multiple crises hitting Lebanon. World Expos have provided a platform to showcase the greatest from each and every country that have shaped the world we live in today and am sure that Expo 2020 Dubai will continue this tradition and even go beyond expectations. Bringing the world together can catalyze an exchange of new perspectives and initiatives, what our beloved Lebanon really needs now”.
The co-founder Mila Medawar pointed out also that Lebanon is keen in participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai exhibition, because it is the ideal platform to open up to the world, promote its products and services and attract new capitals and investments thus injecting funds into the local economy. She concluded: “Despite the difficulties Lebanon is going through, we will strive to ensure the participation that befits our country’s image in this exhibition”.
It should be noted that Expo 2020 Dubai is the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, more specifically in Dubai (UAE), and it will be under the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Lebanon will participate along with 191 other countries. Expo 2020 Dubai will start on the 1st of October 2021 and will remain open until the end of March 2022, it will extend over an area of 2.2 Km2 and is expected to attract 25 million visitors.
