June, 2016. Beirut: Tagbrands has been recognized at the 2016 REBRAND 100® Global Awards Winners for the rebranding of Debbane Agri, the agriculture division of the Debbane Saikali Group. The prestigious global accolade is the highest recognition for excellence in rebranding and is awarded to 100 companies around the world each year.
Tagbrands brief was to create a rebrand for Debbane Agri while maintaining the company’s recognition as an important group in both the Lebanese market and in international markets. Tagbrands was able to achieve this by ensuring that the brand’s values of creativity, innovation, and customer-centricity were all enforced.
Tagbrands rebranding of Debbane Agri builds on more than 60 years of brand heritage within local and international markets. Energizing the brand without losing its time-honored values was something of a challenge. “We wanted to retain the brand’s core values of innovation, the preservation of the environment, as well as the company’s ideals of being customer-centric,” said Maya Karanouh, CEO and Co-Founder of Tagbrands. In order to do this, Karanouh and her team identified the brand’s awareness among its stakeholders through a variety of ways so the brand could be boosted yet simultaneously maintaining Debbane Agri’s heritage.
Speaking about the rebrand, Debbane Agri CEO, Etienne Debbane said: “We are very proud to have won this award. We indeed valued our old brand that meant so much to us and to our customers. It was not easy to rebrand as we needed the new brand to carry our history but still bring in a modern and more dynamic look of it. Tagbrands did a beautiful job that made everyone happy and we are very appreciative of the result”
Each year, an international panel of industry experts convenes to jury the REBRAND Award’s bi-annual competition. The winners of the REBRAND Award spanned over 30 industries from 34 countries around the world. Previous winners have included Nike, Walmart, Audi, Reuters, KFC and Cadbury.
