Zoomaal, in partnership with British Council and Hivos, has launched the “Made-by-Many” Challenge, to support creative and cultural events and festivals that aim to have a social or economic impact with an innovative twist. 16 projects from Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia have been qualified for the final round of this challenge which started on June 15. All projects are now live on Zoomaal and can start receiving support and contributions for a period of one month.
Zoomaal is raising the stakes and taking innovation to another level with the various features included in this challenge. With the support of the British Council and Hivos, this challenge has an allocated budget of $60,000 available in matched-funding; the mentioned partners will match every contribution to any project in this challenge and double it. This gives the
participants a better chance of reaching their set goals and a better opportunity for making their pioneering ventures come true.
Also, Zoomaal has recently launched the ‘Milestones’ feature, allowing project owners to communicate several funding goals to the crowd; Each project can divide its set goal into several milestones, explaining what they will be able to do when they reach it. They will be able to collect all funds that match or exceed their first milestone. This feature is integrated in ‘Made By Many’ challenge, giving participating projects a chance to set more than one goal, after explaining why they need to reach each goal.
