Bassoul-Heneiné, Renault Group importer in Lebanon, has supported Ciné Caravane for many years. Vehicles are supplied to the Institut Français, allowing project managers to access diverse rural areas and provide residents with the opportunity to watch an excellent selection of films.
Founded in 2001 by the Institut Français du Liban, in partnership with local municipalities and associations, Ciné Caravane allows for wide cultural dissemination, especially cinema. During the summer, Ciné Caravane projects a series of films in Lebanese villages in order to reach a wider audience and entertain a larger number of Lebanese.
During the month of August, two French films, Belle and Sébastian 2 and Un Homme à la Hauteur, and one Lebanese film, Film Kteer Kbir – which enjoyed great public success – will travel across Lebanon. The festival is a genuine opportunity for villagers to enjoy and appreciate Lebanese and foreign film.
Mia Bassoul, Associate Partner and Marketing Director, stated: “Renault Group is happy to diversify its CBR activities and continue supporting the beautiful Ciné Caravan initiative”.
Cynthia Kanaan, Art and Audio-visual Project Manager and Head of Ciné Caravane, said: “Year after year, the success of Ciné Caravane continues strong. Our approach is continuously reinforced by welcoming communities and loyal partnerships. This summer, we have the pleasure to receive the directors and actors of Film Kteer Kbir, who will visit the villages in which the film will be projected”.
