On this special occasion and to mark its riding the digital innovation wave, GS has developed the first local fashion Mobile Application; yet another success added to the company’s achievements. Smart mobile users can now check the latest collection present at GS Stores through this app, benefit from the latest activities and promotions, access the Brand’s Fashion magazine, follow their reward points and many other exciting features .
Arab Net 2014 conference represented the perfect platform for GS to launch its fashion application, network with the major online players while giving participants the chance to experience the app closely and interact with the GS marketing team and the developers.
Going back to 1974, that year witnessed the opening of the first GS retail store in Beirut with a vision: establishing a renowned retail network with a regional presence and leadership. In 1996, Hamra Shopping and Trading Company s.a.l. (HSTCO) developed the GS retail concept into a 1000 m2 fashion retail store that specialized in trendy and quality brands from around the world.
In 2010, Mr. Jamil Rayyes effectively took charge as General Manager of HSTCO with a vision to lead the brand into the 21st century. That couldn’t have happened without strategic planning mirroring the fast advancement in the digital technology world; and constantly being up to date when it comes to brands’ and customers’ needs and evolving online habits.
