- First VR technology as a new way of virtual story telling
- Realistic experience of the E-tron Sportback concept car
Beirut, February, 2018 – Ets. F.A. KETTANEH S.A. the exclusive distributor of Audi in Lebanon launched its first automotive Virtual Reality Concept on the Audi stand at Aïshti by the Sea- Antelias.
As a pioneer in technology, Audi has developed a Virtual Reality Solution that allows customers to have an extremely realistic drive experience of the Audi model range without having to leave the showroom. The concept is currently offered with the Audi E-tron sportback concept car and other interesting models, such as the new Formula E race car are planned to be added in the future.
The VR experience demonstrates the Audi e-tron Sportback concept in both a salt lake and snow track environment. During the experience, the user sees the car from different perspectives and can feel both its speed and performance, which delivers a new kind of multi-sensoric VR experience to let them engage with the car in a much more immersive and impressive way.
Christian Nehme – General Manager of Audi Lebanon stated; ”It is our aim to ensure our customers always benefit from the latest technology to enjoy their Audi experience and this virtual reality solution perfectly demonstrates the Audi promise of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ or ‘Advancement through Technology’
The four-door Gran Turismo Audi e-tron Sportback concept featured in the experience was presented at the Shanghai Motor Show last spring and is equipped with a 320 kW electric drive. The formal idiom combines classic Audi elements with an array of trendsetting details: an electrifying architecture, tailored consistently to the technology and the package of the electric drive.
