Ford Expands Presence in Lebanon, as Folic Automotive Inaugurates new 3S Facility in Beirut

Beirut, Lebanon, April 30, 2015 –Reaching out to its growing customer base in Lebanon, Folic Automotive, part of the Tewtel Group of Companies, recently inauguratedits new Ford and Lincolndealership facilityin a strategic location on the Damascus Road inHazmieh. This new facility will allow Folic Automotive a strong presence in another flourishing commercial district in Beirut.

 

Operated by Folic Automotive,the modern 3S facilitycombines a showroom, a service and spare partscenter. It is the second 3S facilityto be implemented in Lebanon as part of the dealership’s broader plan to open additional facilities to better serve customers and to get closer to major communities in the country.

 

Offering quick access, faster service and greater customer satisfaction, the new 3S facility underlines FolicAutomotive’s commitment to providing Lebanese customers with the best products and after sales service available from Ford.

 

The opening of the new showroom was highlighted by the reveal of the all-new2015 Ford Mustang, as well as the new Ford EcoSporturban SUV and the small-size SUV, Escape. The ceremony was attendedby local media, VIP guests, as well as executives from FordMiddle East.

 

Nadim Tewtel, President and Managing Director of Folic Automotive, and Thierry Sabbagh, Regional Director of Sales at Ford Middle East, welcomed attendees at the opening ceremony.

 

Both Tewtel and Sabbagh stressed that the move is part of a larger strategy to drive growth for Ford in Lebanon.

 

Tewtel praised this initiative saying that “the prospects the local market brings to Ford are very encouraging. “With FolicAutomotive’s next-gen facility implemented, the company aims to be closer to its ever-expanding customer base in majorLebanese regions,” he explained. “TheHazmieh facility serves as an advanced platform to serve FolicAutomotive’s loyal customers, and reflects its client-centric strategy as it gears up for more exciting initiatives on that front.”

 

From his part, Thierry Sabbagh said: “The drive our dealers have behind the business is tremendous, and we commend them for their passion for the business. Our success in Lebanon is tangible and we have seen a year on year growth in sales of at least 20 per cent, with a three-fold growth in market share over the past two years.

As of today, Ford and Lincoln combined have over 70 dealership facilities for sales alone across the region’s 11 markets, a network that has grown by 18 percent over the past five years.
